THE
PCS PHILOSOPHY:
The growth of is directly linked to an absolute commitment
to meet and exceed customer’s expectations. Efforts
are directed toward understanding our customer’s needs.
Our 18 year track record is testimony to this fact. Our commitment
begins with proposal development and progresses through equipment
commissioning. PCS
products and services are intended to go beyond being competitively
priced. When comparing cost, PCS products and services are
usually not the least expensive, nor the most expensive.
Our goal is to provide the best “commissioned”
conveyance value when considering the purchase cost, installation
cost and long term cost of operation. This objective would
include conveyance systems that are innovative, that install
& start-up as planned, that create low spoilage and
operate efficiently with fewer problems. To this end, partnering
with our customers has made it possible to distance ourselves
from the competition. Customers trust and depend upon the
PCS team of seasoned veterans. Further, the constant challenge
of meeting customer expectations perpetuates design improvements
delivered with flexible and responsive business methods.
It is the linking of our flexible attitude, responsiveness,
proven expertise and customer partnering that has benefited
our customers with “higher value” conveyance
systems.
The
installation teams are also key to our success; providing
unique benefits to our customers. Our installation teams
are chosen out of our manufacturing facility. This means
our installers have both conveyance manufacturing and installing
experience. We believe these combined skills create a higher
skilled work pool. Many customers report a significant reduction
in the number of problems during installation and start-up
when PCS controls the conveyance installation. Because of
their unique skills PCS Installation crews are often able
to compress the installation schedule and generate a smaller
“fix-it” punch list in the process. This usually
contributes to meeting or improving production goals.
Finally,
our quality assurance program includes the practice of fully
assembling and test running each system we manufacture.
PCS customers are invited to participate in the test-run
and buy-off activities. Many of our competitors consider
this practice too costly and time consuming. But we have
found equipment test running significantly reduces problems
our customers encounter operating the conveyance system.
Rectifying a problem during a buy-off is relatively painless,
having no cost impact on the customer. Elimination of an
identical problem, found during installation or start-up,
painfully impacts the project and generally adds to the
overall project cost and production loses.
